From the darkest state of unawareness “The Light” at the end of the tunnel pierces through the disquiet of unconsciousness culminating in a new trajectory, a new guide, a new ride, the beginning of a new wave, a new cycle, a new day, a new state of being, a visceral all-encompassing energetic transformation.
There’s an entire world in Robert LaSalle’s music, an 11-year allegory, a mythology built of sadness & strife, failure, rejection, poverty, pain & tragedy transmuted into Beauty. From mind, body, emotion & energy hardened by hell & softened by grace, this meta-revelation is led to light by way of facing its ever-present shadow. This is the story of will to power singlehandedly overcoming all obstacles with nothing but intuition & ingenuity.
All of this music was written & recorded by one person with no money, no home, no resources & no luck. The explorer of metaphysics played nearly every instrument & recorded nearly every note of this music on laptops in borrowed time from slums across these United States, under bug-infested, rotted basement ceilings, bathrooms & garages from Alabama to California.
17 years was too much. For lack of budget & lack of luck, the artist retired his musical aspirations entirely unfulfilled, still hoping his prolific ventures find the global audience who seeks them. His hope, that all who suffer find Truth in his words & sounds through the shared contemplative ride, with attention & awareness, as Truth enlightens shadows & unmasks superficial monsters & marionettes to reveal one endless, authentic Love, the only Truth within or without this embodied existence.
By the grace of One in All, may we overcome suffering by awakening to our authentic self, the greater consciousness within us. May we all find hope & inspiration in the tragic & the absurd, the superficial & the sacred, the maddening & the beautiful, the sadness & the joy, the lullaby & the dark night, the lucid dream & the awakening light.
Let the ride begin.
