HOPE TO MEET YOU THERE

Some say

We followed the motions

You and I

Laying in the sand

We buried the past

We buried the oceans

Together you and I

We fought the laws of man

And you stole my heart

Shot me off my guard

On the other side of paradise

There’s a place for us to care

For heaven or hell

Destiny is progress, love

Love

I hope to meet you there

ROOTS, PT 1

I like to start at the roots of a tree that I grew

I like to pulse through the veins of forgotten youth

I like to see the whole world caving in on me

I want to cut my way through the cages of freedom

There’s no stopping it

I can't stop, I can't stop, but in my defense

There’s no stopping it

I got lost in the years where I began at the end

There’s no stopping it

I can't help myself, but I can't stop, I am who I am

There’s no stopping it

I can't stop, I won't stop ever again

There’s an edge to the youth that I never lost

There’s a war in my head that I never fought

This is my God, this is my art, this is my love and my friend

This is my world of destruction now, but in my defense

There’s no stopping it

I can't stop, never again

There’s no stopping it

I can't stop, I can't stop

There’s no stopping it

Never content, I can't stop

There’s no stopping it

I got caught up in the typical, bruising my face

I found love in the last place I’d ever find faith

I found faith in the back of my mind

But I lost my mind when my love was taken away

I live for it, no expression, no sorrowful tears

I stand proudly by the flags of a million years

My country is the world, my religion is good

I got a feeling, it's a feeling, and I knew I would

There’s no stopping it

There’s no stopping it

There’s no stopping it

There’s no stopping it

There’s no stopping it

There’s no stopping it

There’s no stopping it

There’s no stopping it

There’s a hole in the city where I found grace

There’s a God among us, and he's paving my way

There’s a fortress in the middle of the tunnel

And there's a torchlight flickering my way

There’s no stopping it

There’s no stopping it

There’s no stopping it

There’s no stopping it

There’s no stopping it

There’s no stopping it

CEMETARY

Cemetery's nice

When there's a full moon

And the scenery is right

There’s someone at your feet

Every step you climb

And you can just imagine

What the moment was like

You can walk amongst the living

The moment stands perfectly still

You can read through

Every stone on every grave

The flowers from the loved ones

See the wilted ones

The wilted ones that no one's thrown away

In just a few more hours

A service will be held here

For another one past away

Laid to rest

Families and friends will all wear black

Gathered together on the fresh grass

The sun will shine where there’s no trees

They'll all be so damn hot

That they, they can't wait to leave

They’ll argue together

Who pays the funeral costs

Deciphering the will

Becomes a reason for their loss

Gravedigger, dig another grave

Landscaper, lay more sod

An order will be placed

For more stone to be engraved

The afternoon limelight

Soaks up flaunted tears

But in the early morning

There’s nobody here

On a still, forsaken night

Moonlight casts all else aside

When the wind blows just right

Shadows open up before your eyes

In this pale light

Cemetery's nice

In this pale light

You can watch it all come to life

In this pale light

You can watch it all come to life

You can watch it all come to life

You can watch it all come to life

POOR BOY

Why? It’s all I wanted

Why? It’s all I wanted

Why? It’s all I wanted

Why? It’s all I wanted

If I was you, and you were me

You wouldn't need to be reminded

You’re a human being

You wouldn't kick all the beg-a-bonds off the streets

You’ve met all the greatest world police

Now I know, now I know what it's like to be free

Now I know, now I know what it's like to be free

Now I know what it's like to be free

Yes, you have just about everything I need

You’re shaking hands with the man

While I’m spitting in his drink

Tracers on a white lie will grow

Grow, they will grow (it's all I wanted)

Grow, they will grow (it's all I wanted)

No, I don't like your grimacing smile

No, now I know, now I know why

Every hour provoking me

(Every step I beg and plead

Why? It’s all I need)

Running laps around your feet

No, now I know what it's like to be free

No, now I know what it's like to be free

No, now I know what it's like to be free

No, now I know what it's like

Why? It’s all I wanted

Why? It’s all I wanted

Why? It’s all I wanted

Why? It’s all I wanted

Painted white roses

You walked down red carpet

I captured the moment

And you just lost it

Tracers on a white lie will grow

Grow, they will grow (It’s all I wanted)

Grow, they will grow (It’s all I needed)

Grow, they will grow (It’s all I wanted)

Grow, they will grow (It’s in, I want to)

No, I don't like your grimacing smile

No, now I know, now I know why

Sat on the barstool frozen solid

I followed misery until I was lost

And did I tell you the story of the poor the boy

With the weight on his shoulders

He took on the world

No I don't like your grimacing smile

No, now I know, now I know just why

Nobody likes you, nobody minds

No, now I know, now I know just why

You bought your sorrow

You bought your sorrow (away)

You bought your sorrow (never go, never go away)

I’ll find a way

You bought your sorrow (never go, never go away)

I’ll find a way

You bought your sorrow (never go, never go away)

I’ll find a way

You bought your sorrow (never go, never go away)

I’ll find a way

NEW WATERS

I wrote them off

I drove straight into the river

And everyone’s gone

'Cause of something I couldn't give 'em

The waters too deep

I can't lay low

I can't touch the bottom

'Cause they won't see me as I go

I want it my way

I see it their way

We can't settle our indifferences

The same old way

I know I’m not what they wanted me to be

Everyone wants me to be something I can't be

I’m at the bottom and I can't see

Digging a hole, and I can't live that deep

I can bleed like tomorrow

When I can't see today

I can't see anything

In this old place

A perfect smile

In their perfect world

It’s all getting too thick

I don't want to be there because I know

I’m not what they want me to be

Everyone wants me to be something I can't be

I’m at the bottom and I can't see

Digging a hole, and I can't live that deep

They dropped the anchor

It’s heavier than them

The current is taking us

To new waters

Drown out the sensations

That I once had

I know I’m never goanna see the end like I wanted

I know I’m never goanna see the end like I wanted

ANOTHER LULLABY

Another day is done

I’m counting to one

Goodnight to the sun

And the moon up above

Getting over you

It’s a hard thing to do

It’s a hard thing to do

I’m counting to two

And all the while

I never smile

I never smile

I said everything

I said everything

I have to say

I’m counting the sheep

I’m counting to three

I’m writing a song

To sing me to sleep

I’m closing the door

I’m no longer yours

I’m counting to four

Be lonely no more

Lullaby

Close my eyes

Close my eyes

All the lonely stars

All the lonely stars

Shine tonight

Missing you every night

I’m closing my eyes

Turn out the light

I’m counting to five

And all the while

I never smile

Lullaby

Close my eyes

And all the while

I never smile

Lullaby (smile)

Close my eyes

Lullaby (lullaby)

Close my eyes (goodnight)

ANY OTHER NIGHT I'D SAY GOODBYE

Possibilities are never through and through

The lights are always on when I can't see you

When I dream, I dream of love

There’s no one there for me

And there never was

Tension breathes between our souls

Love, you got to get some sleep, I know

It felt so right to be so far from love

The closer I come to you

The more I fall apart

Tonight I need you more and more

And I’d leave here tonight

But you'd wake me up

For every night I’m gone

I thought I’d never love a soul

But now I really need someone

And if I left, I’d never see through

Without you, I’d never leave you

You came along

And I knew you would

I never thought I could feel so good

I can't understand, and I never show

If you left now, I’d never know

Hopes and dreams leave me in the dark

I hold my hopes so high

I never see them when I fall

I fall down tonight with the sky

Any other night

Any other night I’d say goodbye

COULD YOU EVER LOVE AGAIN

If one love comes tumbling down

Could you ever love again

If love can last forever

If one could never end

Could you ever love again

You can see the end

You can see again

It’s only one and one and one

And one and one and one and one

One love

It’s set in stone

If stone could break or bend

Could you ever love again

Set out to dry

In the pouring rain

If clouds were just pretend

Could you ever love again

You can see the end

You can see again

It’s only one and one and one

And one and one and one and one

And one and one

One love

If love lasts

If love lasts forever

It’s forever

Could you ever love again (no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no)

Could you ever love again (no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no)

Could you ever love again (no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no)

Could you ever love again (no, no, no, no, no, no)

No

If this is how

The story goes

If the story never ends

Could you ever love again

GOLDEN DAYS

Together we found love

And we can find our golden days

I’ll meet you at a brand new dawn

Where you can see the way

You can see the way I really love

I love you

Let’s live a fortune together

That hasn't yet been told

Let’s grow old

Let’s get to the days

Where we give away all our gold

And I may not have much

But I promise you'll never be alone

Our love is all I know

Every time we push apart

I pull you back to me

Sometimes I still believe

We're following destiny

Back to the start

Where you stole my heart

Where you stole my heart

And if I hold you

And tell you everything's alright

It’s all right

We can break

Break all the spells that we’ve made

Together in a blink

We can find our golden days

It’s a love no one can replace
